STRYKE Wynds (WIW)

In 2015, Winter Guard International created its first ever WGI Winds Division. STRYKE jumped on the opportunity to impact more students in the South Florida Community and created STRYKE Wynds (SWY). Under the current direction of Josh Bishop, the wind ensemble provides members with the highest quality instruction in South Florida. They make it their mission to help each member develop their fundamental technique throughout the course of the season.

In their 1st competitive season in the WGI Winds Open Class the group received a Silver Medal in 2015 and subsequently the Gold Medal in 2016. In 2017 the group was promoted to the Winds World Class and went on to received the Silver Medal and continued their successes earning the Bronze Medal in 2018, the Silver Medal in 2019, the Silver Medal in 2022, and back to back Gold Medals in 2023 & 2024. The group has received the WGI Fan Favorite Award for their productions "Deja Vu” in 2016, "The First Gift" in 2019 and "Prisoners Of Time" in 2024.
